Erie Animal Hospital doctors and staff have served all of your pet care needs for over 70 years.  We offer expert veterinary services to the Erie area, as well as other nearby cities.

Our Veterinary Team

Since our opening in 1953, the hospital's success has always been driven by veterinarians who have your pets health and wellness at the forefront.

Dr. Diane Ventrello has wanted to be a Veterinarian from as far back as she can remember-there was never anything else, especially after her parents gave her the James Herriot books.  Helping animals that are injured or sick to feel better, and providing education on pet care both bring her joy.  Diane has had kitties since she was little, and gravitates to feline medicine.  Diane is from Erie, attended Vet School at the University of Pennsylvania, worked in Cincinnati for 4 years, then joined Erie Animal Hospital in 1999.  She enjoys playing pickleball and racquetball, exploring the lake shoreline and local creeks for glass, fossils, shells, and rocks, and loves reading, walking and being outdoors in nature.

Dr. Brian Ulrich, an Erie native, is an avid sports fan.  Brian was a member of the 1991 State Championship Football team at Strong Vincent High School and went on to play undergraduate football at Baldwin Wallace University.  Brian started working as a technician at Erie Animal Hospital in 1999, always knowing he would return after graduating from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004.  You may see him out walking his rescue dog, Hallie, or find him at home relaxing with his 3 rescue kitties, Vendetta, Thomas and London.  Dr. Ulrich plans on working at Erie Animal Hospital until his retirement.

Dr. Raylene Hinely-Schroeck has wanted to be a Veterinarian since a mentor was able to save her own dog when she was 12 years old.  Raylene strives to give that same feeling to her clients.  She prides herself on being honest and compassionate, doing what is best for her patients and their owners.  Raylene joined Erie Animal Hospital in 2010 and has worked hard to build her skills in ultrasound and internal medicine.  In her free time, she enjoys being outside, camping and being creative (ceramics and painting).  Raylene also enjoys spending time with her husband Paul and their Golden Retriever, Amber.
